Creative Writing

This just came out of me. I have no idea if it fits together at all as one cohesive poem, but whatevah...

Looking for that moment
In a sea of broken clocks
Her heart is keeping time
While she waits for him to knock.

There are cracks in silhouettes
And shattered rays of sun
In the album of her being
Just wanting him to come.

To hear that voice is joyous
With hoping yet undone
She longs for the fulfillment
Of love from only one.

It’s the season of renewal
But her pace is slowing down
There’s a flower in the field
Its petals falling to the ground.
